  Tania Leon: Born on May 14, 1943 in Havana Cuba, Tania Leon was the daughter of Oscar Leon Mederos and Dora Ferran. An internationally acclaimed musician, Tania is also a composer, music director and conductor. She was awarded many prizes for her musical works and was the first female conductors of Orchestra. She is one of the best Latin musicians among Gabriela Sabatini, Isabella Alendea and Ellen Ochoa.  

Mario Molina: Nobel Prize winner Mario Molina was born on March 19, 1943 in Mexico City and is one of the pioneering discoverers of the Antarctic ozone hole. He was one of the authors to write about CFCs and expose its effects and negative impacts on the ozone layer. He obtained a doctoral degree in chemistry in 1972. Today, he is an active partner of many environmental organizations. He received the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 1995. He was the first Mexican citizen to be awarded the Nobel Prize for his unselfish contributions to science.  

Michael Cordua: He is a popular and award-winning business entrepreneur in the culinary industry. Born in Nicaragua in the year 1961, Cordua migrated to Houston Texas. He earned his bachelors degree in Economics and Finance and worked for a shipping firm in Houston for sometime. Interestingly, he trained himself in cooking and opened his first restaurant in 1988 called the ‘Churrascos’, though he had no knowledge or experience in the restaurant industry.  He received rave reviews for his first restaurant and soon opened a few around the city. He also found a place among the ‘Top Ten Chefs of America’ and received the ‘Robert Mondavi Award for Culinary Excellence ' in 1994. He was one of the first chefs to introduce the Latin American Cuisine to the people of Houston.
