Patricia Maclachlan: Author of Children’s books and Newberry Medal winner, Patricia Maclachlan was born in 1938 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She is the bestselling author of many children’s books including The Facts and Fictions of Minna Pratt, Arthur etc. She won the Newberry Medal award for Sarah, Plain and Tall and also won the Golden Kite Award for Fiction for “For the Very First Time”. She also had many illustrated books in her name including Once I Ate a Pie, What You Know First, Who Loves Me?, All the Places to Love and Bittle and Painting the Wind. Currently she lives with her husband in Williamsburg, Massachusetts.   

Dick Cheney: Grew up in Casper, Wyoming, Cheney was the White House Chief of Staff to President Ford. He was also the US congressman and the secretary of Defense and vice president.

Joseph M. Carey: Ne was the first US senator from Wyoming and the Mayor of Cheyenne. He was born in 1845 in Milton, Delaware.
